01. who is this website for?

Everyone! It is my dearest hope that I will inspire at least one person to get back into reading. Also, it's a final project for my coding class. Hi my coding classmates and professor!

02. why is this website called "hyde's corner?"

It has always been one of my dreams to own my own used bookstore, and when I first had this dream come to me, I had recently adopted my first cat as an adult. Guess what his name is. I now have a bonded pair named Jekyll and Hyde, but honestly Hyde's Corner still feels like a better name. Here are the cats in question. Hyde is black and Jekyll is gray.

03. does x, y, z count as reading?

Yes. Is it a book, graphic novel, manga, audiobook, etc? Yes.

04. why should i care?

As RuPaul would say, reading is fundamental! But in all seriousness, reading is such an important part of our language and critical thinking skills. Our nation is in a literacy crisis right now, and it's important that we fight back against that by any means necessary. Many people don't like to read because they were forced to read books that they didn't like in school, and I hope that this website can help you find a way to enjoy reading.

05. what is freedom & literacy?

Freedom & Literacy is a free bookish forum that I help moderate. We are a small, but tightknit community and I plug it every chance I get. It's a great place for reviews and discussions about books and media! I'm not gonna tell you to join, but I will link it several times so you have to look at it.
